Do you ever work on more than one wedding per day? No. We realise that we have a great responsibility in capturing the memories of your wedding day. We dedicate ourselves exclusively to your wedding so that we can give you both the best attention possible allowing us to work efficiently and effectively to capture your wedding from beginning to end. We never take on any other appointments on a wedding day.
How many photographs will you take on our wedding day? We do not limit the amount of photographs that we take on a wedding day. We shall take as many as is required to capture the story of your wedding day, including many that you won’t have noticed being taken. From the photographs taken we shall select around 500 photographs to proof to you that together tell a stunning visual story of your wedding day.
What cameras do you use? We both use high resolution professional canon cameras and have a large selection of professional lenses and lighting equipment allowing us to create beautiful imagery in a variety of lighting conditions.
What is the advantage of using digital cameras? With the advancement of digital technologies, professional digital cameras can now offer us a much higher image quality than that of film. Digital photography offers us a dramatic improvement of quality when working within locations with limited available light such as churches and many licensed civil ceremony rooms. The flexibility of digital photography is also a major advantage, with the ability to photograph wedding ceremonies without the use of flash, with also the option to creatively use low light and natural light to produce stunning portraits. Digital cameras do not have noisy motor drives and shutters, and they do not wind on film which reduces the reliability of the camera, not forgetting they also have the facilities to instantly check for blinks.
How much digital manipulation is applied to our images? Every image presented to you is initially assessed for colour, tone, and contrast and is corrected to bring it to its full potential. Using our expert techniques we then complete any tidying of the image, and any additional effects such as black and white, sepia and cross process toning.
Do you take formal group photographs as well as reportage photographs? We are more than happy to photograph formal groups however we prefer to keep these to a minimum. We understand that the formal photographs are important to family members; however we also understand that you will not want to stand for hours having your photographs taken with a fixed smile upon your face and an aching jaw. We limit your formal group shots to a period of no longer than 20 minutes working with a pre-arranged shot list of those that you would like included.
What albums do you use? We feature only the very best wedding albums available from around the world. We supply albums from G F Smith, Graphistudio, and Queensberry. To see for yourself the beauty and quality of our albums please feel free to get in touch. How long will our album take to produce? Our albums come from as far afield as New Zealand and so it may take up to six weeks to receive your wedding album after having designed, proofed and finalised your album layout. Once you have decided upon your final choice of images to be put into your album, we shall design the layout, proof it back for your approval, make any required changes and then place your order.
How do I make a booking? Having contacted us and confirmed our availability for your wedding day you will be required to pay a non returnable booking fee of £300 to secure your date and sign an agreement contract. The remainder of the balance becomes due 30 days before your wedding day.
